Gulf Interstate Engineering (Gulf), a full service management and engineering company specializing in the planning, design and construction management of oil and gas production and pipeline systems around the world, is seeking to hire for full-time employment a well
qualified, experienced full time System Administrator to support, and develop both the server and network environment. Responsibilities will include LAN administration as well as server administration. Strong Linux skills are a must. Extensive experience with script programming in a Unix environment is also required. Understanding of Windows NT Server and Workstation is desired.
Responsibilities:
Plotting: Must be familiar with LPR/LPD/CUPS Unix printing. LPRNG is the queuing system used for all printing.
Network: Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP required. Experience with SAMBA is required.
Mail/Web: Experience with Apache, SSL, PHP3, PHP4 and MySQL is required. Experience with SMTP, POP3, IMAP is also required.
Server/Hardware: Experience with hardware and software RAID is required. Experience with Cisco routers and network equipment is required.
Additional skills: Must have good oral and written communications
skills, ability to prioritize assignments as well as work on concurrent ones, able to work in fast paced environment and available for on-call or overtime as needed.
