LINUX Systems Administrator (Senior Level)
4 months temp to perm
Must be US Citizen. CBP Background Investigation (including police and credit check) required and must either hold a current DoD secret clearance or be able to qualify for one.

Daily Work Description
Function as the LINUX Systems Administrator.
Education and Experience
Proficiency with Windows Operating System such as Server 2000, Server 2003 server environments
· Proficiency with Linux variant (Red Hat) at an Enterprise level with a UNIX variant (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX)
· Advanced UNIX (Bash/Perl/Ant) and Windows (Batch/Perl/WMI) scripting, and/or Shell scripts to automate common system administration tasks and to support developers.
· Firewalls experience such as Cisco Pix.
· Experience with System tuning, including kernel compilation and tuning system parameters for optimal performance and security.
· Experience with cryptography tools (e.g. secure shell, OpenSSL, IPSec)
· Experience in the deployment of a large number of Linux servers via an automated process, like Kickstart.
· Virtualization to include experience in one or more applications: VMWARE, MS Virtual Server 2005, Linux virtualization.
· Experience installing, configuring Intel Blade servers such as, SBXD132, SBXD62, and SBX82.
· Redhat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is desired.
Bachelor degree desired.
